This is a response to T’s advice,
Dear T,
Thanks for the advice! I don’t know if high school is holding me back, it’s just not the place I need to be. I’m sure lots of kids love high school and learn a lot there, I’m just not one of them. Maybe i’m understanding this wrong, but you make it seem like us Zed Omegas are helpless, like we depend on everyone for everything. We are all fairly independent if we think we can gain something from leaving school.
You’re right in some ways though, we do have so much more to learn about this world! And that is exactly what excites me, knowing that there is so much more going on in the world. It’s not all double spaced papers and number two pencils.
One of the best ways to learn is to ask questions. We ask questions daily for the rest of our lives. How do you get to this road? Where is the nearest xyx…? etc. No one simple goes off on their own and expects to know exactly what they’re dealing with. No one goes off on their own and expects to really ever be alone, you’re always going to ask for help at some point. You fall down and you get back up, you learn everyday from mistakes and from advice. If there comes a day when there is no one on this planet willing to help someone out, I don’t want to be here!
T, don’t you ever ask for help? Don’t you ever need advice? Will getting a cap and gown suddenly give me all the answers?
